Bountiful Beautiful Caladiums

Does anyone love caladiums as much as I do?

I plant these beauties every year from bulbs and impatiently wait for them to grow into this amazing display that you see above....these are planted in a large raised flower bed in our backyard. God's hand definitely painted these with a special touch!

I had to plant these from brand new bulbs this year. Usually, the bulbs I plant are mostly from the year before (sometimes a couple of years before) because I always dig up and store my bulbs for replanting. Unfortunately, last year my husband stored them while they were still damp and when it was time to take them from storage and plant them, all I found was a gooey, ugly mess of rotting yuck. I was so upset I actually cried because almost every one of them was a jumbo caladium bulb that I painstakingly handpicked from masses of them at the nursery; I couldn't even bring myself to plant ANY last year. But I got over it and this year their magnificence once again graces our landscape.

Fused Glass Image Pendants

I love working with glass decals and recently I started a new line of image pendants that are both simple and beautiful. I create backgrounds that highlight the details of the image using glass frit and glass paints. I try to keep it as simple as possible.

Dichroic Dazzlers!

These hand-etched dichroic glass pendants are a new design for me and so much fun to create!

I just wish that there were more hours in a day (or maybe two of me) so I could make more of these and also work on the other thousands of ideas I have bouncing around in my head LOL! As far as this design goes, I am also working on some hair barrettes in the same style and hoping to have at least three of them listed soon.

Dichroic Glass Stud Earrings

After selling my jewelry on Etsy for a little over 2 1/2 years, I find that my small dichroic stud earrings are definitely my best sellers. They come in lots of different colors and patterns and they are so much fun to wear. The size vary from 1/4" to 1/2" in diameter.

I can do custom orders if you want a larger quantity for wedding favors, party gifts for the girls or any occasion that comes to mind. I recently created a batch of 40 pairs of studs for a wonderful lady who was wanting to include a pair as wedding reception favors for all the female attendants.

This if my first post on my first blog EVER and I really don't quite know what I'm doing, but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it as I go along!

I started selling my creations back in November of 2010 and continue to enjoy the thrill of sharing my work with individuals across the world. I have sold pieces that have been shipped to Australia, Indonesia, Spain, Germany, Hong Kong, England, Canada, New Zealand and other countries. My Shop is full of bold, beautiful color made from fused glass and dichroic fused glass in many styles, color combinations and patterns. Fusing glass is my passion and I am always trying out new designs off the top of my head. Some come out....some don't, but I always enjoy the challenge.
